Coaching for Unpaid Carers
Space for you in the midst of caring
One-to-one support for people caring for someone affected by cancer.
A dedicated space to make room for your own needs, reconnect with yourself and explore what could help life feel more manageable, more balanced and more like your own.

Making space for your needs too
When you are caring for someone with cancer, their needs can understandably take centre stage.
Appointments, practical responsibilities and concern about how they are coping can leave very little time or energy for you. You may become so used to carrying on that you barely have an opportunity to notice how you are feeling, let alone think about what you need.
Coaching gives you a confidential space where the focus can be on you.

Caring can affect every part of your life
You may not describe yourself as a carer. You may simply see yourself as someone doing what needs to be done for a person you love.
But caring can bring significant changes to your relationships, routines, work, confidence and plans for the future. It can also bring complicated emotions that are not always easy to say aloud.
You may feel:
-
Love and resentment
-
Gratitude and grief
-
Hope and exhaustion
Different feelings can exist alongside each other. Acknowledging them does not mean you care any less.

A space where you can be honest
Coaching for unpaid carers is not about teaching you how to care for someone better or giving you another list of things you should be doing.
It gives you space to step away from everyone else’s needs for a while, untangle your thoughts and consider what would help you.
You don’t have to wait until you are exhausted or at breaking point before asking for support.
Together, we might explore...
Making space for your own needs
Reconnecting with your identity beyond caring
Setting boundaries without becoming overwhelmed with guilt
Rebuilding confidence
Balancing responsibilities with your own energy and wellbeing

Navigating changes in relationships
Making difficult decisions
Thinking about what matters to you now and what you want for the future
Coaching shaped around you
Every caring situation is different, so our conversations will be shaped around what is happening in your life and what would feel most useful to you.
I won’t judge your choices or tell you what you should do. I’ll help you explore what is within your control, recognise your own needs and consider small, realistic changes that could make life feel more manageable and more like your own.
Sometimes that may mean making a change. Sometimes it may simply mean seeing things differently or giving yourself permission to matter too.

Supported Coaching

If cost may be a barrier, you are very welcome to ask about supported pricing during your discovery call.
Reduced rates are also available for returning clients.

Start with a conversation
You don’t need to know whether coaching is right for you before getting in touch.
I offer a free initial conversation where you can tell me a little about where you are now, ask any questions you have and find out more about how coaching works.
There is no pressure or obligation. It is simply a chance for us to talk and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
